Here we have a WORLD WAR I 1916 PARKE, DAVIS & COMPANY physician's field case that still retains two corked, glass vials of APOTHESINE AND ADRENALIN #217. The box is 4" tall. Apothesine was an early injectable anesthetic. Adrenalin was (and still is) mixed with the anesthetic to control bleeding.
