Also note the price in period druggist's pencil on the label: 20 cents per ounce. Quite racey for c1880, don't you think? FLUID EXTRACT OF DAMIANA was also used as a tonic and diuretic. This very rare, cased brass spring-loaded bleeder is heavily engraved. This most likely was given as a gift, or presentation piece. It is engraved D. SCHEIRMAN. The inside of the lid has the name DANIEL written in pencil. The box appears to be constructed of cherry wood with a poplar bottom. The bleeder is 4" in length.
